Alberto Conca
Partner of LFG Holding and Chief Investment Officer of LFG+ZEST.
Alberto, with over 20 years of expertise in fund and portfolio management, joined Zest as the Chief Investment Officer in 2018. Prior to this, he co-founded AQA Capital in 2015. His career milestones include co-managing long-short equity funds at Sequoia and Lemanik, partnering at Kairos Alternative Investments, and roles in Pioneer Alternative Investment in Ireland and Aletti Gestille. Alberto's foundation in the field began with roles as an Equity Manager and Fund Manager at RAS. After earning his degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Pavia, he ventured to Connecticut, focusing on the development of non-linear models for predicting volatility.
Alberto is Portfolio Manager for the Zest SICAV sub-funds: Zest Global Bonds, Zest Quantamental and Zest Global Special Situations.
Enrico Guagni
Partner of LFG Holding and Chief Executive Officer of LFG+ZEST.
Enrico became CEO of Zest in 2013, after having worked in Financial Strategy since 2001. Initially, he worked at Financial Strategy SAM, Monaco as Portfolio Manager and then at Financial Strategy SA, Lugano as Relationship Manager. In 1999 he spent a year as assistant to the managing director of Immobiliare Italia Gestioni (San Paolo-IMI group), after starting his professional career in Mediosim (Banca di Roma group), as a financial intermediary. Graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He has been for 15 years a member of the Swiss Association of Asset Managers - ASG, holder of a financial trustee license (Canton Ticino - Switzerland).
Siro Spellini
Partner of LFG Holding and Managing Director of LFG+ZEST.
Siro has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, starting his career with UBS. He has represented the interests of HNWI clients in North America, South America and Europe. He was in US equity research sales for UBS Investment Banking in New York and in Pan Euro equity research sales for UBS Investment Banking, London. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration. He is fluent in English, Italian, French and German.
Walter Biland
Partner of LFG Holding AND MANAGING DIRECTOR OF LFG+ZEST.
Walter is heading the Zurich Office, and he is responsible for developing the Latin American market. Walter has more than 20 years of experience in Private Banking. Before joining the Group, he has worked for UBS and Credit Suisse in Switzerland and in the United States. Walter is fluent in Spanish, Italian, French, English and German and has profound knowledge and experience in Wealth Management.
Rosy Mantia
Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager.
She joined Zest in April 2019, as General Manager and Head of the Private Banking division. Before Zest. Rosy spent 23 years at Colombo Wealth Management in Lugano, first becoming its director and then CEO and member of the Board of Directors in 2017. The experience acquired in terms of management, compliance, and due diligence, administration and asset management optimized for high-net-worth individuals and families, combined with excellent and solid relationships with the major operators in the financial sector, guarantees to our customers and extremely targeted and personalized service and assistance. Her career in the banking sector began at UBS SA followed by a brief stay in the USA.
Mathias Hasler
Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager.
Mathias has more than 20 years of experience in private banking and has an extensive knowledge of financial markets. He worked in the Portfolio and Client Relationship Management for UBS and Credit Suisse covering the Mexican and Brasilian Markets. He has a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Bern, Switzerland. His mother tongue is German but he is also fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, English and French.
Adrian Kempf
Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager.
Adrian has more than 20 years of experience in private banking and has an extensive knowledge of financial markets. Before joining the group in 2015, Adrian has covered Portfolio and Client Relationship Management positions in Credit Suisse, since 2007, and earlier in UBS, where he started his career, in 1998. After initially covering the markets of UK/South Africa, he has focused on the Mexican Market since 2003. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Swiss Institute for Business Administration SIB, Zurich and graduated as a Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM) at the Swiss Training Center for Investment Professionals (AZEK), Zurich. His mother tongue is German and he is fluent in Spanish and English.
Libero Valsangiacomo
Senior Relationship Manager.
Libero Valsangiacomo joined Zest in 2022, after over 30 years of experience in the industry. Libero is a Swiss citizen with a degree and Master's in Business Administration from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), has 30 years of experience in banking and finance. He began his career in Bern at the Department of Economics of the Swiss Confederation and then moved on to industry and large-scale distribution. In 1991, he returned to Lugano and began his activity in the financial sector as an important Fiduciary before starting work in the banking sector in 1993, at Banca Popolare Svizzera (BPS), as Head of Controlling and Cash Management. In 1995, he was appointed Member of the Executive Board and, following the merger, moved to Credit Suisse, where he assumed responsibility for the Private Client Department. In 2000, he left Credit Suisse to become Head of a Private Banking/Wealth Management Team at Banca del Gottardo (BDG), an activity which he carried out until 2005 before co-founding the Lugano branch of LLB (Liechtensteinische Landesbank with Headquarters in Vaduz) active in Wealth Management and becoming Deputy Director. In 2013, he was actively involved in the sale process of the Lugano Branch of LLB SA (the first Asset Deal in Switzerland of a Bank Branch) which was to be sold to PKB Privatbank SA in Lugano of which he became Director and Deputy Head of the Domestic Market Group. In 2018, he decides to start his own business. He founded KeysGest SA, a licensed trust company active in Wealth Management of which he is Chairman of the Board of Directors. As CEO he leads a team of professionals and specialists with a long and solid experience in global finance and investments.
Andrea Mezzi
Relationship Manager
Andrea joined Zest at the beginning of 2022 as a Relationship Manager after having held a similar role for nine years at Lares Asset Management SA.
Previously, he worked as a Private Banker's assistant in the Lugano branch of Liechtesteinische Landesbank, from 2012 to 2013. He began his career as a market room operator at a primary Lugano banking institution and then as an assistant to relationship managers in the Wealth Management division of the same bank. He graduated in economics from the University of Lugano.
Michele Scamoni
SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Michele Scamoni has joined LFG Holding in 2019. Today, he is Senior Portfolio Manager at LFG+ZEST SA, where he leads the fixed income and fund selection process for the company and manages a group of advisory clients. Before this, he was the Head of Fixed Income at Pentagram Wealth Management SA (2017). His significant achievements include his role at BSI Bank (2010) as Senior Fund Manager, where he managed three fixed-income mutual funds with a combined AUM of approximately 250 million CHF (BSI Institutional Foreign Bonds Fund was awarded by Sphere Financial Agency as the "Best 2015 Fund" in his category). Earlier, at BPVI Fondi SGR in Milan, he managed two fixed-income funds – BPVI Obbligazionario Euro and BPVI Obbligazionario Internazionale – with a total AUM of around 200 million EUR. His career also includes pivotal roles at Ras Private Bank Suisse (2008) and Cassa Lombarda (2007). Scamoni holds a degree in Economics from the University of Pavia, Italy, specializing in quantitative methods and econometrics.
Antonio Viggiani, CFA
SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER.
Antonio joined LFG+Zest in 2023, bringing a decade of experience in the asset management industry, particularly in quantitative methods due to his quantitative background. His career in the finance industry began at Swiss Life Asset Managers AG, where he worked as a quant and risk analyst. Subsequently, he joined one of the largest independent asset managers in Switzerland before moving to the CIO Office at Zürcher Kantonalbank in Zurich, where he focused on the investment process, quantitative asset allocation, and the development of new investment strategies. Before joining LFG+Zest, he was the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and a member of the Executive Board at Istituto di Previdenza del Cantone Ticino, overseeing a substantial pension fund portfolio of 5.5 billion CHF.
Antonio holds a degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) and is a CFA Charterholder. He is fluent in Italian, German and English.
Alessandro Brusa Pasquè
Portfolio Manager.
Alessandro joined Zest in May 2022, as an analyst and assistant to the Chief Investment Officer. He has been instrumental in supporting both the Fund and Wealth Management teams, providing in-depth market research and analysis to drive strategic decisions. With a solid academic foundation, Alessandro holds a master’s degree in Banking, Markets, and Corporate Finance from Carlo Cattaneo University (LIUC) of Castellanza.
Sascha Baderschneider
Relationship Manager Assistant
Sascha joined LFG+ZEST in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his previous role at UBS, where he worked from 2019 to 2024. During his tenure at UBS, Sascha honed his skills in managing relationships with Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWI) and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) in Latin America.
He is proficient in German, Spanish, English, and French, and has an in-depth knowledge of financial services. Sascha’s expertise and dedication ensure that our clients receive personalized and comprehensive financial advice and service.
